HOW TO GET TO KOH LIPE IN THAILAND?
As Koh Lipe is nestled in the southwest of Thailand, getting there is a tough line to walk. This is why Koh Lipe has been nicknamed “Thailand’s secret island paradise”. However, the beautiful island is connected to the rest of the world through the country’s capital, Bangkok.
The nearest airport to Koh Lipe is Hat Yai.
The nearest airport to Koh Lipe is Hat Yai. The cheapest and easiest way to get to Koh Lipe is to fly to Hat Yai from Bangkok. A shuttle from Hat Yai Airport will then take you to Pak Bara Pier. Then you can take a ferry to Koh Lipe from the pier. It’s a long process but the final destination is worth the trip.
When I reached Koh Lipe, its brilliant emerald green water filled with parrotfish, sea anemones and cute little clownfish caught my attention.

BEST THINGS TO DO IN KOH LIPE
Snorkeling: There are three main beaches on the island: Sunset Beach, Sunrise Beach and Pattaya Beach. Snorkeling is included in daily excursions from Koh Lipe, but you can also do it yourself. I rented a snorkel mask and gear from one of the shops on Walking Street.
Scuba diving: Koh Lipe is one of the best islands for scuba diving. There are many dive sites on the island as it is nestled in the middle of the Tarutao National Marine Park. There are many local dive shops that offer Open Water certification.
Day trip to neighboring islands: While Koh Lipe offers everything for a quiet vacation, from beautiful sunsets and sunrises to the best pristine beaches, one can always visit another island for a change of mood. There are several shops on Koh Lipe offering day trips to nearby islands and beaches.

BEST TIME TO VISIT KOH LIPE
The best time to visit Koh Lipe is between November and March. I visited in February and the temperature was pleasant.
The best thing about Koh Lipe is that you will feel connected to it within a minute of landing on the island.
